Your Hosts - Min & Mona

Your hosts during your stay at Costa Custodio, Mona Rains and Min Labanauskas, have lived here permanently since 1995, when they decided to sell their business in Washington State and make their permanent home here in Nayarit, Mexico.
Having lived most of their lives in the mountains of the North Cascades, they decided to trade the cold, snow, and rain of the Pacific Northwest for the balmy waters and tropical climate of Pacific Mexico.
Brought to this place ten years ago by a Mexican business associate, before the road was here, before there were bridges, and even before there was a trail to Punta El Custodio, the vision of Costa Custodio evolved first as a distant retirement dream, and only after Min and Mona had teamed up in a business venture in Washington and visited the site together did this dream blossom into the reality that has become Costa Custodio.
Building the first villa, Villa Custodio, while living in a tent in the jungle, Min and Mona began to explore the surrounding area, and discovered a land not only rich in natural beauty, an ocean full of fun and adventure, but a historical and cultural heritage predating the Spanish conquest. The local peoples were friendly to the extreme, and despite a lack of monetary wealth were found to be extremely festive and ready to roast a pig at a moment's notice.
As the community of Costa Custodio has grown from a single villa into a sizable vacation complex of several developments, Min and Mona have put together staff and guides to provide a complete vacation experience for the visitor to Costa Custodio. With a variety of excursions suited to every taste, your hosts welcome you to visit and enjoy.
For those with an interest in investing in either a vacation villa, or taking advantage of the still present bargains in development property, Min and Mona are at your disposal to take you through the selection and investment process.
Because of the success of Punta El Custodio, they have become involved in two other projects, the first an ambitious development beginning at the Boca Custodio and flowing along the coast for 8 miles, and encompassing 5 different and unique beaches, three estuary systems and over 1000 acres of land. This project, known as, Tres Pueblos, is currently in the permitting stages.
An old friend, John Cooper, of the Costa Azul Adventure Resort in San Pancho (San Francisco, Nayarit) has also asked that Min and Mona develop a sales plan for 45 acres which adjoins this world famous resort. This project is is its initial sales phase of fractional villas, and is an exciting new adventure.
